Legal Structure

- Although anyone may live in Miycester, not everyone is protected by citizenship. All drow are immediately granted this protection. Anyone else will have to apply through the Crown.

- All citizens of Miycester have the basic right to freedom. Slavery is illegal.
- You can own property, but the Crown may take it if needed.
- You must continually improve yourself and help the kingdom.
- You can practice personal beliefs if they don’t break laws.
- You have the right to a fair trial if accused of a crime.
Article III: Magic
- Magic is an important part of life in Miycester.
- The government closely controls magical resources like crystals.
Article VI: Crime and Punishment
- Serious crimes include treason, murder, and theft.
- Punishments can include fines, jail time, or death for very serious crimes.
- The Crown may pardon any crime or change any sentence.
- There are special courts for magic-related and resource-related cases.
Article V: Business and Trade
- The Crown oversees internal and external trade affairs.
- You need to register your business with the government.
- Some businesses, like mining, need special licenses.
- Trade between different parts of Miycester is allowed.
- The government controls trade with other kingdoms.
Article VI: Family and Social Matters
- Marriage may be between two or more consenting adults.
- Parents must take care of their children and teach them to be loyal to the Crown of Miycester.
- You may adopt children if the government approves.
Article VII: Resource Management
- The government strictly controls mining and crystal harvesting.
- It’s illegal to mine without permission or smuggle crystals.
Legal Process
- There are different courts for different types of cases:
- Lower Courts
- Handle minor civil disputes and criminal cases
- Presided over by a single judge appointed by the Crown
- High Court
- Deals with major civil and criminal cases
- Also hears appeals from Lower Courts
- Run by a panel of three judges appointed by the Crown
- Royal Court
- The highest court in Miycester
- Handles cases of utmost importance to the kingdom
- Acts as the final court of appeal
- Presided over by the Crown or someone appointed by the Crown
- May call on Royal Council members for expert advice
- Specialized Courts
- Magical Court: Presided over by the Kar’et M’elzar. For cases primarily involving magical disputes or crimes
- Resource Court: Presided over by the Crown. For cases related to mining, crystal harvesting, and resource management
- Trade Court: Presided over by the Crown. For complex commercial disputes, especially those involving trade between kingdoms.
- Lower Courts
- You can appeal court decisions to higher courts.
- The Crown’s court is the highest court.
- In some cases, magical evidence or remote testimony is allowed.

- Damaging mining operations or resource facilities

- Conducting business without proper registration
- Trading with other kingdoms without approval
