Private Rentals

  • Rentals are 2$L per 1LI.
  • There is a cap of 12 weeks paid at a time.
  • Refunds are not usually given but we will if it’s reasonable. If you are struggling to pay rent, or cannot be on sim due to RL emergencies or otherwise, please contact a staff member. We will work with you!
  • Unless otherwise stated, private homes are off limits without an invitation from the renters. This includes for roleplay. You may not walk up to the door and knock in roleplay without permission etc. All rentals are clearly marked. Available rentals may be explored.
  • Only one rental per active player on sim. This does not have to be RP, but at least come hang out on sim once in awhile! A few times a month is plenty.
  • You may share a rental with a subtenant option.
  • You may have security so long as it does not interfere with the outside of your parcel.
  • Renters may put items outside their rentals provided they are:
    • Within five meters of the rental, or the entirety of the property such as when a fence is included, or a farm such as the vineyard.
    • Appropriate aesthetic.
    • Hover text is not permitted.
    • Full bright is not permitted.
    • Breedables and farming systems are allowed so long as they do not cause excessive lag.
    • Items that emit excessive particles or noise will be returned.
    • No adult items in public areas.
  • If the rental box is overdue, you have 24 hours to renew or pick up your belongings before they are returned.
  • No adult furniture in rooms where children are present or may come across them.
  • If you exceed your allotted prim allowance, you have 24 hours to adjust. After 24 hours staff will return random objects for you. This may be immediate if the prims are excessive and we need space.
  • You may ask an admin about adjusting land impact allowance.
  • Refunds are not given if you lose your rental due to abuse, ban or breaking the rules.
  • Certain rentals are free within restrictions.
    • These are 5 LI each.
    • These require the player to have been active for a minimal of two weeks as the character who would be getting the rental.
    • Youth Home caretakers and residents, Arcana Academy students and faculty, palace staff and residents, all qualify for these rentals.
  • Other positions such as Dream Weavers, staff, Arcana Academy professors etc are given rental discounts and / or free rentals depending on their position.
  • Minors may rent if they have NPC guardians.

Player-Made Factions / Guilds

  • The largest factions & guilds are entitled to a free space anywhere on sim so long as it makes sense.
  • They may keep this place only for as long as their faction remains among the most powerful.
  • The area may be decorated for their usage and are given some land impact to work with.
  • No adult items in public areas.
  • Factions who fall beneath the membership / power requirement will be given a week’s notice to clean their area of prim.
  • Any faction may choose to rent a place on sim using rental vouchers.

Business Owners

  • Pre-existing businesses are free with application for ownership.
  • Business Rentals may be rented and are up the player to decorate.
  • Business Rentals are 1$ per 1 LI.
  • We allow the use of the business space to sell real items for Linden provided the items are PG, on theme, and the decor is roleplayable. If you sell clothes, consider making a tailor. If you sell food, try a restaurant.
  • All pre-existing businesses have a functional mailbox. This may not be changed.
  • No adult items in public areas.
  • Renters may put items outside their rentals provided they are:
    • Within five meters of the rental, or the entirety of the property such as when a fence is included, or a farm such as the vineyard.

    • Hover text is not permitted.
    • Full bright is not permitted.
    • Breedables and farming systems are allowed so long as they do not cause excessive lag.
  • Business owners may only have one business.
  • Business owners may not have security OOC. They may have security IC. People may not attack an owned business without the permission of the owner.
  • No adult furniture in rooms where children may be present.
  • Pre-existing Businesses are given 50LI for daily use. They may use up to 250LI for a temporary build.

Staff

  • Staff are given free homes as gratitude for their hard work on sim. They may choose from any available rental and must follow the same Residential rules as anyone else.
  • Ember Manimbo as former co-owner and current builder / staff is given extra privileges regarding land impact allowance.
  • Staff will not be allowed to use rental vouchers on extra prim.
